Geoff McFetridge

This piece is called Bend the Void the only thing Geoff McFetridge brought is one big single piece, a paper roll of 600ft and about 20 smaller works. Everything else was created on location. Most of the work was improvised, and they seem to have been tailored to the surroundings. This piece has a homemade feel about it and a tactile nature, which I love since looking at the book Tactile Graphics. I based my film project on this type of art. I like these aspects, layers and sequences. It is like one big hallucinatory experience, parts of the show are super flat, then through secret doors you’ll enter a hand painted fake zone and through another secret door the show becomes more 3D and comes to life.
